The first moment a customer reaches out shapes everything that follows. If they feel heard, a simple answer lands well and even a tricky problem feels manageable. If they feel processed, the same answer lands flat.

Most first-line support today sits at one of two extremes. A human team, stretched thin across time zones and busy hours. Or a scripted bot that offers the same few options, whatever the customer actually says.

We think there is a better middle.

A face for the first conversation

Synchroverse gives your first line of support a photorealistic virtual agent with a face, a voice and a personality. Customers speak naturally, and the agent answers out loud, in real time.

That changes the feel of support. Instead of filling in a form or picking from a menu, customers have a conversation. They can explain the problem in their own words, change direction halfway through, and interrupt when the answer is heading the wrong way. Your agent is built for real-time voice with natural interruption, so the exchange can flow the way a good support call does.

Answer, sort and hand off

A first-line agent does not need to solve everything. It needs to do three jobs well:

  • Answer common questions clearly, so customers do not wait for help they could have had straight away.
  • Sort requests, so the right issues reach the right people with the context they need.
  • Hand off to humans when a person is the right answer, without trapping the customer in a scripted dead end.

That last point matters most. A good first line makes your human team more effective, not harder to reach.

Grounded in what you know

Your agent's answers should reflect your products and your policies. You can add material to your agent's knowledge, and the agent can draw on it when it answers anyone who talks to it.

Keep that knowledge focused and current. Remove what is out of date, and the agent stops using it. Think of it as the briefing pack you would hand a new team member on their first day.

A good first line makes your human team more effective, not harder to reach.

Your setup, your choice

Every team starts from a different place, so there is more than one way to connect:

  • Use the included companion. Our in-house AI is the simplest way to start.
  • Connect your agent. If you already use an AI agent, connect it and give it a face and a voice.
  • Use your own AI account. Where this is available, your organization can supply its own credentials. We store them encrypted for your organization, never send stored values back to the browser, and use them only server to server to run the provider you selected.

Clear about what it is

Your customers should never wonder whether they are talking to a person. In a live avatar session, a notice on the startup screen says it plainly: "Our avatars are AI companions, not humans." It appears on screen again after every three hours of continuous conversation.

Privacy is built into the defaults, too. Privacy mode is on by default, so session logs are designed to keep technical details such as timing and events while leaving out the words customers and your agent say. And we will never sell, rent or share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Nothing to install

Sessions run in the browser, so there is nothing for customers to download before they can talk to your agent. That keeps the path from question to conversation short.

Give your agent a clear personality

Customers notice tone long before they notice features. Decide how your agent should sound: calm and concise, or warm and a little chatty.

Then write three short things: a greeting, a way of saying "I am not sure about that", and a way of handing over to a person. Small moments reveal personality more clearly than a long description, and these three moments are the ones customers remember.

Where to begin

Start with a narrow, well-understood slice of your support: the handful of questions your team answers most often. Give your agent a clear role, a focused knowledge pack and an obvious path to a human. Watch the conversations, refine, and widen from there.
